Part 1 - No Dispatch, a 5th Alarm
In episode #12 of Firefighters in Fire Trucks getting Ice Cream we will be cruising down Las Vegas Boulevard in retired Las Vegas Engine 3. She is a 1980 American LaFrance Century Series Pumper with a 35 foot Telesquirt and a Mars Traffic Breaker leading the way. This rig was the first engine from LVFR on scene of the MGM Grand Fire after only being in service for six months. My guest on this episode is Ryan Pennington from Jump Seat Radio and Training. I caught up with Ryan while we were teaching at Firehouse World. On the way to Luv It Frozen Custard, another historical piece of Las Vegas, we get to discuss fire in hoarder homes as well as his newest class "Aggressively Positive". Stay Tuned.
Part 2 - Large Diameter Straw
In part 2 of episode #12 with Ryan Pennington of Firefighters in Fire Trucks getting Ice Cream we are just pulling up to Luv-It Frozen Custard right off the strip. Luv-it is just as much part of Las Vegas history as the engine we are driving and was established in 1973. Ryan and myself continue our conversation over some chocolate shakes with large diameter straws on hoarder home fires as well as understanding fire service past.
